BOARD OF EDUCATION

Troy Carns, Trustee
Troy was elected to the Board of Education in 2011. He is a heavy equipment operator with Brenner Excavating. He graduated from Allegan High School in 1989 and enjoys sports, particularly coaching basketball.

Mark Davidhizar, President
Mark Davidhizar was originally elected to the Board of Education in 2004. He and his wife, Betsy, have four children. Drew, Anna, and Austin have graduated; and Adarea is a student at Allegan High School. Mark is the director of Camp Beechpoint.

Michael Fairbanks, Trustee
Michael was elected in June 2011. He is employed at Perrigo, Corp. in pharmaceutical management. He is married to Jill, and they have two grown children (Michael and Katie) and two children at Allegan Public Schools (Colton and Garrett).

Grace Gant, Secretary
Grace Gant was elected to serve on the Board in 2008. She lives in Allegan with her daughter, Olivia, who graduated from Allegan High School. Grace recently received her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and is employed by Edward Jones Investing as a financial consultant.

Mary Kasprzyk, Treasurer
Mary Kasprzyk was elected to the Board of Education in 2009. She and her husband, Matt, own and operate Ted's Auto Body Shop in Allegan. They have three children: Zack (who graduated from AHS), and Hannah and Emma (current APS students). Mary is also the director of the Children's Museum in Fennville

Vicki Knuckles, Trustee
Vicki Knuckles was elected in 2010. She is currently working for the City of Allegan. Vicki lives in Allegan with her husband, Paul. They have four children: Elijah and Elicia (who have graduated from AHS) , Nathan and Abigail (who are in high school and middle school, respectively).

Dr. Dale Wittkop, Vice President
Dale Wittkop was elected to the Board of Education in 2006. Dale is an optometrist at Allegan Eyecare. He and his wife, Lee, have a son, Alex, who attends Allegan High School.
